Where do I put my 5 cents? :)
How did your paper go?

Can I get a doctor's report?

paper is done, albeit with a need for some minor editing that I'll do before class Monday night. You can put your 5 cents on the table in the classroom.

G-unfortunately, I don't have a doctor's report, although I'm personally debating whether or not to get one for myself. I seem to have a) had a bout with some bad chicken at KFC last night (the wife isn't doing good either) or b) experiencing some sort of flu (the wife isn't doing good either).

I would place myself in the "self-proclaimed" non-medical expert in that I have an opinion on anything (ala Lucy Van Pelt) & would be glad to share it, nickel not withstanding.

Lucy knew everything except that her two friends, Peppermint Patty and Marcy, were pop culture's first lesbians. Or was it Jane Hathaway from "The Beverly Hillbillies?"

KFC is full of msg

PP and Marcy and Lucy were the among the first comic characters to break the Barbie stereotype. They weren't lesbians; they were simply assured, confident females who could hold their own in the medical profession, on the baseball field, in academia, and also in expressing their own opinions!

Jane Hathaway was among the last stereotypes of the old maid. She wasn't a lesbian; she was madly in love with Jethro Bodine.

davido- i'm noticing a trend w/ you: poop & homosexuality- hmmmmmmmmmm. i know you have more than that.

I also have heard the argument that Marcy & Peppermint Patty were lesbians, though hadn't heard Miss Hathaway. Others also "outed" were : Bert & Ernie (Sesame Street) Skipper & Gilligan (Gilligan's Island), King David & Jonathan (from the Bible) to name a few.

To me, it's a huge stretch of (il)logic & a blatantly obvious attempt by the Gay/Lesbian lobby to legitimize the lifestyle they so desperately want to classify as mainstream. It desires to cheapen & denigrate same-sex friendships & draw into question any sort of strong-connection between friends as inherently sexual in nature.

Actually Jay, I don't. I'm sick of my academic side. I spend hours each day writing my thesis and this is where I come to write pure drivel. Thanks for thinking better of me though.
